It is best to upscale the image with Paint or Gimp. This improves the resolution and makes it easier to extract a precise contour. Please reset the global scaling factor!

The best way to check this is by:

• The number of visible contours matches the number of detected contours, see bottom left in the status area Visible elements: x of x.
• Moving a point to see if there is another contour underneath it.

• In the drawing area with the function “Open element” (select only one line of the contour) and the function “Connect two identical elements” (select the two points of the open contour).
• With a graphic dividing line, e.g. in Paint or Gimp.

ContourTrace is a pure 2D programme. Depths can therefore only be implemented in an external CAD programme.

After drawing the contour to precisely place the four points, select each point individually and define the x and y values for each frame point in the Point properties group on the Drawing tab.

Step 2 – Type firewall in the search box and click on “Windows Defender Firewall”.

Step 4 – Click on “Change settings”.

Step 5 – If Contourtrace is not visible under the “Allowed apps and features” list, make sure it is installed and click on “Add another app” to add the ContourTrace.exe file from the installed file location.

Step 6 – Select and check “contourtrace” and allow “Private” communication.

If you’re prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. Select the check box next to ContourTrace to allow it.

ContourTrace can now communicate with the Internet.
